For us, the new age humans, events like epidemics and plagues look really out of place as we imagine them to be belonging to an Earth that was yet not controlled by humans. But the truth is, these events are extremely common in nature that has her pendulum swinging constantly and the momentum to it is provided by the exponential maths she uses.
